Sitting by the Riverside

Sitting by the riverside alone,
wondering where all that water is going.
Maybe down to Mexico,
maybe it's going back home.

I've been living right and clean.
Don't know why the world has turned on me.
Jesus died for me I know.
I keep on praying,
but I just don't know.

This old world keeps spinning 'round and 'round.
Don't matter if you're up or down.
Lose your dreams and lose your mind,
it's just a matter of time.

Before you even know it, you're gone.
Soul floating out there, all alone.
Maybe down to Mexico,
maybe you're just going back home.

Killing time to wait for judgement day.
We sing and laugh and cry and play.
Make some time to take some time,
because like the river,
you'll just float away.
